Under half a US salary.

A US sales ops analyst earns about $8,500 a month in base salary at the median, and about $12,400 once payroll tax and benefits are added.

A Portco Crew operator starts at $4,000 a month. Rarer skills or more seniority cost a bit more. See pricing.

US salary: $102,000 median base across the 11 of 68 sales ops analyst posts (analyst and specialist level) with a salary in the job posts we tracked between 3 May and 5 October 2026, mostly US. All-in adds benefits and payroll taxes, which are 31.5% of employer costs for full-time private-industry workers (BLS, June 2026). Small sample, so treat it as directional. Your market and seniority will move it.

Where a sales ops analyst fits.

Full time, as a permanent part of the company's own team.

In a portfolio company

The analyst a growing sales team needs before it can justify a RevOps manager: someone who owns the numbers, the territories and the comp admin so the VP Sales can sell.

At a roll-up platform

A permanent seat at the platform running the same pipeline report, stage definitions and quota model across every acquired sales team.

Before a sale

For a company going to market in the next 6 to 12 months: clean pipeline history and a weekly report that ties out, ready for the data room.

How it works.

  1. Intro call

Thirty minutes on what needs automating, the stack it runs on and who the operator would report to. We'll tell you straight if it isn't a fit.

  2. Meet the operators

We send you a few operators who've done this work before, with what they've built and the tools they know. You meet the ones you like on a video call.

  3. Hire and start

Hire the one you want. We sign the contract, you give them access, and they start on the first build.

  4. We stay close

One flat invoice a month. We check in with both sides, and if it isn't working we fix it or find you someone else.

Good questions.

What does a sales ops analyst do?

They own the data and process behind the sales team: pipeline reporting, forecasting support, territories, quota and comp admin, and CRM hygiene. In the 149 sales ops posts we tracked, 67% mentioned reporting and 52% pipeline.

How is this different from a RevOps manager?

Scope. A RevOps manager owns the process across marketing, sales and customer success. A sales ops analyst owns the numbers and admin for the sales team. Many portcos need the analyst first.

Can they build dashboards outside the CRM?

Yes, where it's in their background: Power BI, Tableau and Looker all show up in the posts we track, though Salesforce and HubSpot reporting is the core of the role.

Who do they report to?

The VP Sales or Head of Sales, or the RevOps lead where there is one.
